Feeling Good

Wow it's 2022! What a year 2021 has been. The highs and lows, the global pandemic, the heartbreaks and glow ups. If 2021 has taught me anything it's that life has a way of finding what's best for you, even if you don't feel like it is. 2021 was literally the hardest year for me, both mentally and emotionally. I had to pick myself up, start all over and find myself. I am so thankful for all my friends and family who have stood by my side and helped me become who I am today. The one major advice I can give to you all that 2021 has taught me, take that mental health day. Take the day to rest, catch up on your favorite Netflix shows, stay in bed all day and be cozy. We all try to put on this facade of how perfect our life is, meanwhile, we all need a break once in a while. My new year's resolution is going to be to try and relax more, not just physically, but mentally as well. My brain is constantly on 24/7 and eventually it takes a toll on you without even noticing. So instead of trying to do it all, I'm going to do what I can, and that will be good enough! There is no reason you have to go above and beyond all the time. You are allowed to just stop! Stop stretching yourself thin. Stop trying to be the one who does it all. And most importantly, stop caring what everyone thinks. People are going to judge you no matter what, so might as well do what you want to do and have fun! I am so over trying to be the one who makes sure everyone around me is okay and then having no energy for myself. I literally never put myself first and this year that's going to change. There are going to be days where my anxiety gets the best of me, and that's okay, just don't let it become you. Give yourself time to just be in the moment and feel your feelings! You are unstoppable!!! 😻
